The Breeders Cup concluded at Churchill Downs on Saturday night following a good day for the bookmakers on Friday. The action got underway last night when the odds on favourite Secret Circle duly obliged in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint. But after that there were a mix of big price winners and no European trained horses across the line in first.
There were nine races on Saturday, with the feature race the Breeders Cup Classic won by 20/1 chance Drosselmeyer ridden by Mike Smith.
Earlier in the evening, Aiden O'Brien had plenty of success, winning the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf with Wrote and then following that win up with St Nicholas Abbey in the Breeders' Cup Turf, made all the more special with his son Joseph in the saddle.
