The Juvenile Turf is for colts, geldings and fillies and is being run for only the third time after being inducted to the Breeders Cup meeting in 2007. It was won in 2008 by the John Gosden trained Donativum with Frankie Dettori which will give hope to the European runners in 2009. It will attract some of the best two year old horses from around the globe including those who have won the qualifying races which take place during the course of the year.
