Looking at the results in previous Breeders Cups will give you an idea of the kind of profile a horse needs to have to win a Breeders Cup race. Despite the fact that the Breeders Cup venue changes every year, there's only a number of tracks where the Cup is hosted so there are enough results for you to get an idea of betting trends and form.
None so more as this year as Santa Anita Park hosts the racing for the second year in succession, a first in Breeders Cup history.
European runners had a brilliant 2008 at the Breeders Cup and there'll be plenty of horses sent over for another stab at the races in 2009.
When looking at the past results, check what kind of draw the winning horse had and see f you can spot any particular trends for that racecourse. You'll notice that there are certain races that are more suited to the US Trained horses. These are primarily races run on the dirt, as it is nothing like the surfaces they have in Europe. It's also a big ask for juveniles to travel across the Atlantic and win in the US, but not impossible.
